Baseball Game Preview: Lone Tree Lions vs. Danville Bears

Lone Tree is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Danville a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Lone Tree Lions will welcome the Danville Bears at 5:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Lone Tree fell victim to Winfield-Mt. Union and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Wolves, falling 14-0.

Meanwhile, Danville also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 15-0 to Pekin on Friday.

Lone Tree's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Danville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Lone Tree skirted past Danville 5-3 in their previous matchup back in June of 2025. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
