McAllen and Rowe are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but likely not for long. The McAllen Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Rowe Warriors at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: McAllen has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Rowe will arrive with five straight victories.

Friday just wasn't the day for McAllen's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rowe on Friday.

For Rowe's part, Zavier Garcia was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over 5.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance gave Garcia a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Alex Leon was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Rowe's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for McAllen, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-3.
