Softball Recap: Philo Comes Up Short

Philo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Sheridan Generals, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 last Tuesday.

Philo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Sheridan, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Philo is set to challenge their familiar foe Maysville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sheridan will face off against rival Crooksville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Generals 3.2, the Ceramics 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
