Softball Recap: Bowie Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Bowie extended their postseason success on Thursday against Brennan. They had just enough and edged out the Bears 8-7. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Bowie let Cadie Hays and Bella Nungaray run wild. Hays went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Nungaray went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That's the most hits Hays has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Busceme, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Bowie lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Bowie's victory bumped their record up to 22-12-1. As for Brennan, their loss dropped their record down to 15-14.

Bowie will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bears: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
