Recap: Nuview Bridge Knights vs. Santa Rosa Academy Rangers
This season hasn't been kind to the Nuview Bridge Knights, who are still winless after their ninth match. They had to suffer through a rough 85-13 loss at the hands of Santa Rosa Academy. Nuview Bridge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-2.
Chris Jones was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with nine steals for Santa Rosa Academy. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for him. James Johnson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten steals.
Nuview Bridge's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.6 points per game. As for Santa Rosa Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
Nuview Bridge's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cornerstone Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. As for Santa Rosa Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome San Jacinto Valley Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 11th.
