After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Onaga was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Centralia Panthers 9-8. This was a revenge game for the Buffaloes: when they faced off against the Panthers on Monday, they had to take a 10-4 loss.

Addison DeChant and Marissa Sauvage did most of the damage at the plate: DeChant scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Sauvage went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that Sauvage hit this season. Makenzie Dorsey was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.

Onaga is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Centralia fell to 3-1.

Coming up, Onaga will be playing at home against Valley Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Centralia will be paying especially close attention to the Buffaloes' match: after the Buffaloes faces off against Blue Valley, they'll take on Centralia again at 4:30 p.m. on the 28th.
