Basketball Game Preview: Shelton Highclimbers vs. Capital Cougars

Shelton is 0-10 against Capital since January of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Shelton Highclimbers will host the Capital Cougars at 7:00 p.m.

Shelton is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They took a 45-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Evergreen.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Capital). They walked away with a 71-60 victory over Washington on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Shelton's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Capital, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.

Shelton came up short against Capital in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 52-41. Can Shelton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
