Softball Recap: Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers vs. Benton Tigers

In what's become a running theme this season, Calvary Baptist Academy gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They never let the Benton Tigers onto the board and left with a 14-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but Calvary Baptist Academy sure is getting used to it with their 14th in a row.

Kynzee Anderson looked comfortable as she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. Addison Willis relieved her and did a solid job, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (she also didn't allow any walks).

At the plate, Elana Franks was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. DJ Lynch was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 4-for-4.

On Benton's side, they saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashley Promes, who went 1-for-2 with a double.

Calvary Baptist Academy pushed their record up to 28-1 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Benton, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9.
