Volleyball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

Trinity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fayetteville Academy Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2019.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Trinity Christian sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 16-25, 15-12.

Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Fayetteville Academy, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 2-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Trinity Christian will take on rival Berean Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fayetteville Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Freedom Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
