Mahnomen/Waubun came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The Thunderbirds have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Mahnomen/Waubun's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Fertile-Beltrami, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mahnomen/Waubun will venture away from home to take on Warroad at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fertile-Beltrami, they will square off against Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
