Wheatland proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Colfax Falcons. Wheatland have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Colfax, too.

Wheatland's win bumped their record up to 3-5-2. As for Colfax, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Wheatland and Mira Loma will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:45 p.m. on January 7, 2026. Mira Loma will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Wheatland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Colfax, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Union Mine at 12:00 p.m. on the 29th.
