Recap: Meeker Cowboys vs. Limon Badgers
The Meeker Cowboys and the Limon Badgers squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Meeker Cowboys had to settle for second. Meeker wound up with the same score they had in their last game (28-7), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They have struggled against Limon recently, as their game on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Meeker still got an impressive performance from Cade Blunt, who gained 106 total yards and a touchdown.
Jordan Rockwell went supernova for Limon, rushing for 140 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes.
Meeker's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Limon, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Meeker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Limon will face off against Strasburg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Strasburg is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
