Football Recap: South Sumter Raiders vs. Hawthorne Hornets
South Sumter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell to the Hawthorne Hornets 26-20. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 41-21 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Although South Sumter took the loss, they still got scores from Bubba Boone and Rashad Johnson. The team also got some help courtesy of Blaine Walker, who threw for 176 yards and a touchdown.
