Softball Recap: Mechanicville Comes Up Short

Mechanicville managed to slip by Hoosick Falls the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Red Raiders lost 9-1 to the Panthers on Friday. The Red Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Mechanicville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hoosick Falls, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mechanicville will take on rival Waterford-Halfmoon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hoosick Falls is set to square off against their familiar foe Berlin/New Lebanon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
