Volleyball Recap: Apex Falls Short Against Ranked Green Hope + How To Watch

Apex faced Green Hope in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Falcons, falling 3-0. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Green Hope scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-18.

Apex lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rylee Moyer, who had ten assists and seven digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Paola Quirez, who had nine assists and six digs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Apex fell to 7-1. As for Green Hope, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0.

Apex has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Apex Friendship on the 2nd. As for Green Hope, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Jordan on the 2nd.
