Basketball Recap: Clarksburg Comes Up Short

Clarksburg lost against Seneca Valley back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Clarksburg Coyotes took a 61-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles. The Coyotes just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Leading Seneca Valley to victory were Jaysen Moise and JJ Green. Moise dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, while Green posted 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Exodus Waites, who had six points and three steals.

Clarksburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Seneca Valley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Clarksburg will face off against Gaithersburg at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarksburg is facing Gaithersburg at the right time seeing as Gaithersburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Seneca Valley, they will challenge Wootton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
