Football Recap: Atlantic Collegiate Academy Takes a Loss

Atlantic Collegiate Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Manning, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Armada fell just short of the Monarchs by a score of 16-14 on Friday. While the Armada had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Monarchs 6-0.

Despite the loss, Atlantic Collegiate Academy still got an impressive performance from Semaj Wilson, who rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for five yards and one TD.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Manning, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atlantic Collegiate Academy will square off against East Clarendon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines' defense has only allowed 7.4 points per game this season, so the Armada's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Manning, they will take on Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
