Durant came tearing into Friday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Midland Eagles as they made off with a 12-2 win. Considering the Wildcats have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Owen Collier and Seamus Devine made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Collier pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Devine pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Collier went 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Devine went 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Devine has posted since back in May.

In other batting news, Durant got a massive performance out of Conner Schwarz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Cohen Kilker was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Durant's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Midland, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Durant will venture away from home to take on Mid-Prairie at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Midland, they will welcome Lisbon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
