Football Recap: Mendon Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

Mendon had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Suttons Bay Norsemen 64-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Hornets just coasted through the last quarter.

Mendon was led to victory by Owen Gorham and Ryder Gorham. Owen rushed for 94 yards and three TDs on only nine carries, while Ryder rushed for 102 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. What's more, Ryder posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Mendon's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Gorham was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.

Mendon has already played their next game, a 28-24 win against Britton Deerfield on the 4th. As for Suttons Bay, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-8 loss against Bear Lake on the 6th.
