Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Oakland's 14th in Last 17 Outings

After only two runs in their last contest, Oakland made sure to put some runs up on the board against Siegel on Tuesday. The Patriots came out on top against the Stars by a score of 13-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven runs or more this season.

Oakland got a massive performance out of Jazmyne Watkins, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Watkins has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jada Ellison, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Oakland is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Siegel, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakland will take on Rockvale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Siegel, they will welcome Gordonsville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
