Softball Recap: Archbishop Hoban Knights vs. Gilmour Academy Lancers

After flying high against East Jessamine last Saturday, Archbishop Hoban came back down to earth. The Archbishop Hoban Knights wound up on the wrong side of a tough 13-2 walloping at the hands of the Gilmour Academy Lancers on Wednesday.

Archbishop Hoban saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Regan, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

On Gilmour Academy's side, Camden Dreiling made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits (she also didn't allow any walks). Dreiling was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Ava Gundling and Hailey Gray did most of the damage at the plate: Gundling went 1-for-3 with a home run, two stolen bases, and three runs, while Gray went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs.
