Football Game Preview: Coahoma Bulldogs vs. Grape Creek Eagles

For the first time this season, Coahoma will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Grape Creek Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Coahoma's defense has only allowed 12 points per game this season, so Grape Creek's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Coahoma lost to Littlefield on the road by a 35-21 margin. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Austin Joslin, who threw for 102 yards and four touchdowns. Lanson Moore helped Joslin out on the ground, rushing for 102 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grape Creek). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy 49-12. Winning may never get old, but Grape Creek sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Coahoma fell to 5-1. As for Grape Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
