Basketball Recap: Southlake Carroll Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

Timber Creek typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Southlake Carroll proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Timber Creek Falcons by a score of 44-32. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-34 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Timber Creek still got an impressive performance from Kylee Hunt, who posted 12 points and four steals. Hunt has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Krisi Willis also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Southlake Carroll has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Timber Creek, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-9.

Southlake Carroll has already played their next matchup (against Keller), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Timber Creek is taking a road trip to take on Byron Nelson at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Byron Nelson will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Timber Creek surely won't give up without a fight.
