Baseball Recap: Shawnee Takes a Loss

Francis Parker hit Shawnee with a eight-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Wyverns, falling 16-4. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Wyverns recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Trevor Pence was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base. Brandon Williams also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Shawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Francis Parker, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
