Basketball Recap: Osborne Takes a Loss

Osborne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They fell 81-71 to the Paulding County Patriots. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (58), the Cardinals still had to take the loss.

It was another big night for Jerron Wilson, who shot 5-for-9 from long range and dropped a double-double with 29 points and ten boards for Paulding County. Wilson's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was George Shumpert, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Osborne's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Paulding County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-11.

Osborne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-60 loss against Hillgrove on the 10th. As for Paulding County, they have also already played their next contest, a 61-60 defeat against Harrison on the 10th.
