Football Recap: Olympian Eagles vs. Grossmont Foothillers
Olympian lost a close one when they played last Friday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Friday was a bit more commanding. They had to suffer through a 56-16 loss at the hands of the Grossmont Foothillers. The Eagles have struggled against the Foothillers recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Although Olympian took the loss, they still got scores from Ryan Claybon and Josiah Rivera.
Thomas Donovan had an outrageously good game for Grossmont as he threw for 454 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt. Noah Walker was another key player, picking up 171 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Olympian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Grossmont, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olympian will head out to take on Trivium Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Olympian focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday. As for Grossmont, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mira Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
