Baseball Game Preview: Episcopal Knights vs. West Feliciana Saints

The Episcopal Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the West Feliciana Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Episcopal will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Episcopal had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt South Terrebonne on Saturday. Episcopal blew past South Terrebonne 7-1. While the Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, West Feliciana waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Redhawks a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

West Feliciana pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Episcopal, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Episcopal skirted past West Feliciana 7-6 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Episcopal since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
