Basketball Recap: Westby Comes Up Short

Westby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The game between them and the Royall Panthers didn't end well, with the Westby Norsemen falling 66-49. While losing is never fun, the Norsemen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while the Panthers are ranked 103rd).

Westby's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Royall, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Westby has already played their next matchup (against Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Royall Panthers challenge the Hillsboro Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Royall knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully Hillsboro likes a good challenge.
