Baseball Game Preview: Holyoke Purple Knights vs. Agawam Brownies

Holyoke is 0-10 against Agawam since May of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Purple Knights will host the Brownies at 4:00 p.m.

Holyoke is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chicopee Comp. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, while Agawam put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Chicopee. The Brownies blew past the Pacers 11-0. The Brownies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by eight runs or more this season.

Agawam has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Holyoke, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
