Baseball Recap: New Deal Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact New Deal can now relate to. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Home Leopards on Friday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Leopards recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

New Deal saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ray Alonzo, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Jackson Attebury was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

New Deal's loss dropped their record down to 20-5. As for New Home, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 27-5-1.

While New Deal had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
