Soccer Recap: Monte Vista Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Monte Vista, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Granada Matadors out 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Monte Vista has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season. As for Granada, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monte Vista will take on California at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday. California's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Granada, they will challenge Amador Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Granada is facing Amador Valley at the right time seeing as Amador Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
