Volleyball Recap: Chippewa Find Success

Chippewa won the last time they faced Orrville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Chipps skirted past the Red Riders 3-2.

Chippewa wouldn't go down easily and took Orrville into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 18-25, 20-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Among those leading the charge was Aira Regan, who had 15 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Chippewa was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are 8-4 when they serve at least ten aces.

Orrville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zyah Handwerk, who had 13 digs and two aces, and Joscilyn Crenshaw, who had ten digs.

Chippewa's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Orrville, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 12-9.

Coming up, Chippewa will face off against Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Orrville, after both having extra time off, they and South Range will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
