Basketball Recap: Hempstead Comes Up Short

Hempstead lost against Hitchcock back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hempstead Bobcats were dealt an 80-8 defeat at the hands of the Hitchcock Bulldogs. The Bobcats' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Hempstead's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Hitchcock, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hempstead will host Van Vleck at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hitchcock, they will be playing at home against Brazos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hitchcock is facing Brazos at the right time seeing as Brazos is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
