Softball Recap: Rocklin Thunder vs. Franklin Wildcats
On Friday, Rocklin faced Franklin in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything went the Rocklin Thunder's way against the Franklin Wildcats as the Rocklin Thunder made off with an 11-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Payton Prior was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
