Softball Recap: Newberry Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Atlanta, Newberry was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Cedarville Trojans with a sharp 11-3 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Indians considering their one-run performance the game before.

Newberry's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Cedarville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Trojans beat Newberry by a score of 12-11 later that day.
