Volleyball Recap: Sedgwick County Wins Going Away Against Brush

Sedgwick County won the last time they faced Brush and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cougars blew past the Beetdiggers 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Their offense was headlined by Lainee Nein and Piper Buettenback, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Ryen Carlson and her 17 assists. Addison Renquist controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sedgwick County's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Brush, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Sedgwick County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Wiggins on the 25th. As for Brush, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Windsor Charter Academy on the 23rd.
