Softball Recap: Juanita Sanchez Complex Takes a Loss

After flying high against Paul Cuffee on Monday, Juanita Sanchez Complex came back down to earth. The Cavaliers lost 26-10 to the Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights on Wednesday. The Cavaliers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Scarlet Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2018.

Lismari Hernandez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She also got a hit, marking her first of the season.

Juanita Sanchez Complex dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
