Recap: Rockville Rams vs. Paint Branch Panthers
The Rockville Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a hard 82-63 fall against Paint Branch. While losing is never fun, Rockville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Paint Branch is ranked 52nd).
Isaiah Lee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Paint Branch, scoring 41 points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lee has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alim Sesay, who scored 13 points along with eight blocks.
Rockville's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Paint Branch, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.
Rockville will take on Wheaton at TBD on Tuesday. As for Paint Branch, they will head out on the road to challenge Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Bethesda-Chevy Chase's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
