Volleyball Game Preview: TERRA Environmental vs. Norland Vikings

TERRA Environmental will take on the Norland Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as TERRA Environmental comes in on three and Norland on 15.

On Thursday, TERRA Environmental made easy work of Sports Leadership & Management and carried off a 3-0 win.

While TERRA Environmental won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 26-24, 25-19.

GIULIANA NARANJO and EVA PEREZ-GUZMAN were among the main playmakers for TERRA Environmental as the former had 20 assists and five digs and the latter had 13 assists and two aces. Those 20 assists gave NARANJO a new career-high. SOFIA LARENAS also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Meanwhile, Norland had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Hialeah on Monday.

In the three sets Norland was on fire: they won each by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-13, 25-27, 25-14.

TERRA Environmental's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Norland, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.

Everything went TERRA Environmental's way against Norland in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, as TERRA Environmental made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for TERRA Environmental since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
