Volleyball Recap: Sturgeon Bay Comes Up Short

Sturgeon Bay saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Neillsville Warriors.

Sturgeon Bay's offense was headlined by Yarrow Goettelman and Izzy Schoeneman, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Makenna Coyhis and her eight assists. Miya Nell controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sturgeon Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Neillsville, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Sturgeon Bay will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kewaunee at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Neillsville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Auburndale on the 6th.
