North Gwinnett waltzed into their game on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 54-3 victory over the Duluth Wildcats. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bulldogs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Wildcats are ranked 162nd).

North Gwinnett's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Stephen Brown, who rushed for 107 yards and one TD on only six carries. Those 107 rushing yards gave Brown a new career-high. Braylon Jackson was in the mix too, providing North Gwinnett with two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North Gwinnett was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 248 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

North Gwinnett's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Duluth, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

North Gwinnett will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Gwinnett at 7:30 p.m. on the 14th. Duluth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
