Softball Recap: King Takes a Loss

King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-3 to the Gaither Cowboys. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 21-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

King saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Ramirez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

King's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Gaither, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

King didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-0 defeat against Sumner on the 1st. As for Gaither, they will take on Alonso at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gaither will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
