Softball Recap: Choctawhatchee Takes a Loss

Choctawhatchee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Arnold Marlins, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Marlins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in February.

Choctawhatchee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Arnold, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Choctawhatchee will head out to face off against Walton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Arnold, they will venture away from home to challenge Bozeman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Marlins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bucks have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
