Basketball Recap: Minerva Comes Up Short

Minerva was the 67-56 winner over West Branch when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Minerva Lions took a 47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Branch Warriors on Friday. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Minerva has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for West Branch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Minerva and Smithville will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for West Branch, they will take on Marlington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
