Football Recap: Neshoba Central Comes Up Short

After soaring to 37 points the game before, Neshoba Central was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 26-0 to the Callaway Chargers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Rockets were not able to get on the board.

Samuel Huffman threw for 210 yards while picking up 10.5 yards per attempt. Alandrick Hathorne was his top target, picking up 70 receiving yards. On the ground, Denterrious Loggins rushed for 48 yards.

Neshoba Central is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6. As for Callaway, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neshoba Central will venture away from home to face off against South Panola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. As for Callaway, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lake Cormorant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Cormorant will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Callaway surely won't give up without a fight.
