Basketball Recap: Dos Pueblos Comes Up Short

Dos Pueblos lost against San Marcos on January 8th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The match between the Dos Pueblos Chargers and the San Marcos Royals didn't end well, with the Dos Pueblos Chargers falling 57-42. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 384th, while the Royals are ranked 97th).

Dos Pueblos now has a losing record at 12-13. As for San Marcos, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Dos Pueblos will venture away from home to square off against Pacifica at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Marcos, they will welcome Buena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (San Marcos has three straight wins, Buena has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
