Baseball Recap: Waterloo Takes a Loss

Waterloo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Jackson-Milton Bluejays, falling 17-9. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bluejays earlier this season, when they won 8-5.

Aric May made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Vincent Mori was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Waterloo's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Jackson-Milton, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waterloo will face off against Manchester at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jackson-Milton, they will take on David Anderson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bluejays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
