Baseball Recap: Carter Green Hornets vs. Union County Patriots

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Carter ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Union County Patriots. This was payback for the Green Hornets, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kingston Griph made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
