Soccer Recap: Pinewood Comes Up Short

Pinewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Sacred Heart Prep Gators, falling 5-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Pinewood's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sacred Heart Prep, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1-2.

Pinewood will face off against King's Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. King's Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pinewood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they are taking a road trip to face off against Crystal Springs Uplands at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Crystal Springs Uplands' defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Sacred Heart Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.
