Voyager Academy is 9-1 against Franklin Academy since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. Voyager Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season.

Franklin Academy better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Voyager Academy's game on Tuesday is any indication, that's when Voyager Academy really gets things going. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 67-46 margin over Research Triangle. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Voyager Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tristan Gibson, who went 8-for-10 on his way to 21 points, and Darin Jones, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 15 points and eight assists. What's more, Jones also posted a 60% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Lucas Brogdon, who posted seven points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Voyager Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Franklin Academy earned a 52-39 victory over Roxboro Community on Tuesday. The 52-point effort marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Franklin Academy, their record is now 5-2.

Voyager Academy skirted past Franklin Academy 71-68 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
